There are not many times in your life when you will need to have an injection, inoculations for travel are the most common. Occasionally you may need to an injection as part of a hospital visit.
For many people it is the anticipation of the event that is the worse, and for others it is the sight of blood being taken which is the most unpleasant. I have known clients avoid going to hospital for some very serious condition, just in case they have to have an injection.
The way to deal with this is not a huge analysis of the root cause, and the reason why, that does not matter so much. It is about it how you picture this thing, what you say to yourself in anticipation, the thoughts you think that lead on to the emotions you feel. It feels oh so very real and deeply unpleasant, it can even be a bit embarrassing.
